About this painting

Hundreds of thick blobs of cobalt blue, emerald, scarlet, white and lemon yellow are squeezed and dragged across a burnt-ochre ground, so the canvas looks like a crowded palette at the end of a long day's work. The paint stands off the surface in ridges and curls, each mark keeping the twist of the stroke that laid it.

Blue gathers along the left edge and in the top corners, white dashes cluster at the upper left, and the middle turns greener and more golden. Gaps of bare ochre between the marks keep the whole surface warm, even where the cooler colours crowd in.

AA#108 is an original abstract painting showing dense multicolour paint blobs and splatter over an orange-ochre ground, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Ridges this deep only show their detail within a step or two, so choose a spot where guests linger: beside a restaurant host stand, opposite a dining table or next to the coffee point in a studio office. A ceiling spot set a short way out from the wall throws a small shadow under every blob. On white walls the ochre reads hot; on olive, slate or deep blue it settles, and the blue marks come forward.

Specified for restaurant & bar, workspace & office, dining room and living room; it reads as vibrant and uplifting.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for AA#108 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on AA#108 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

How raised is the paint on AA#108?

Clearly raised. Many blobs stand well off the canvas, with curled tips where the stroke lifted away, so the surface casts shadows and, like any heavy impasto, gathers a little dust over time. A soft, dry brush passed over it every few months keeps it clean.

Could AA#108 be painted on a cooler ground than ochre?

Yes. The same blue, green, red, white and yellow marks can be laid over a grey, navy or off-white ground in place of burnt ochre. That changes the whole temperature: on navy the yellow and red flare up, while on grey the canvas turns calmer and more graphic.

Is AA#108 a print or an original painting?

An original. AA#108 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of AA#108 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
