About this painting

Broad ribbons of ochre gold, cobalt and turquoise sweep upward and outward from a pale grey centre, like strands of fabric pulled apart by wind. Through the middle, a dark chocolate line rises from the bottom edge and forks halfway up, giving the composition a spine.

Cobalt is the strongest colour but appears only in two curves, a crescent at the left and a diagonal band at the top right. Most of the surface is ochre dragged with brush and knife so the white beneath breaks through in streaks, and in places gold and white are pulled together in a single stroke.

AA#696 is an original abstract painting showing swirling gold, blue and white ribbon strokes, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas. It is painted to order in any size; the 10 standard sizes run from 24×24 in (61×61 cm) to 72×72 in (183×183 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

The warmth comes mostly from ochre rather than brass yellow, so it sits comfortably with mid-grey walls, taupe panelling and walnut. In a windowless office it gives the room movement without a recognisable subject to tire of. Over a sofa, pick a width of about two thirds of the sofa so the square does not read as a block. In a guest suite, the cobalt curves are best seen from the bed, on the wall straight ahead.

Specified for guest room & suite, workspace & office, living room and home office; it reads as uplifting and bold.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for AA#696 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 24×24 in to 72×72 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Flat brushwork takes less paint and time than impasto or relief work of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on AA#696 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What is the brown line through the centre of AA#696?

A dark chocolate stroke that rises from the bottom edge and splits halfway up, like a branch or a river delta. Nothing else in the picture is that dark, which is why the gold and blue around it look brighter; without it the composition would float.

Does AA#696 lean more blue or more gold once hung?

More gold. Ochre and pale gold cover well over half the surface, while cobalt and turquoise appear as narrower ribbons. Pair it with navy textiles if you want the blue to lead; in an all-beige room it reads as a warm golden canvas with blue accents.

Is AA#696 a print or an original painting?

An original. AA#696 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of AA#696 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
