A cobalt-blue crystal cavity fills the left half of the square, bordered by rings of white and turquoise and a bright gold line that bends around it like a riverbank. To the right, a broad band of smoky grey-brown is streaked with fine white lines following the same curve, and two corners open into pale turquoise.

The left edge is the most built-up part: gold nuggets and milky, quartz-like forms pile against the blue crystal, laid on as a crust of raised facets that each catch light. The grey band is smooth by comparison, so the eye travels from rough crystal to calm stripes.
