About this painting

White paint is poured across a black square in a dense lattice: thick vertical bars along the top and bottom edges, horizontal runs crossing them, and a tangle of finer loops in the middle.

Behind that central tangle the black lifts to a smoky grey, so the middle seems lit from inside while the white is heaviest at the edges. The lines were poured rather than brushed or knifed; they stand up from the ground in glossy, rounded ridges, with stray droplets scattered between them.

AA#149 is an original abstract painting showing tangled white drip lines over a black ground, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 10 standard sizes run from 24×24 in (61×61 cm) to 72×72 in (183×183 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Black and white with no other colour, it suits rooms where something else must carry the colour: a fashion boutique wall behind the cash desk, a gallery shop, or an office reception with glass partitions whose mullions echo its grid. Against pale limewash it looks graphic and crisp; on dark stone or charcoal panelling the black ground melts away and the white web seems to hang in the air. A wall washer from above makes the ridges glint.

Specified for gallery & retail, lobby & reception, workspace & office and living room; it reads as bold and dramatic.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for AA#149 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 24×24 in to 72×72 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on AA#149 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

How are the white lines on AA#149 made?

They are poured from above rather than brushed. The paint falls in continuous threads, so each line swells where it pooled and thins where the pour moved quickly, drying as a raised, glossy ridge over the black ground. The broad bars along the edges are where far more paint was laid down.

What can hang near AA#149 without clashing?

Black-and-white work built on straight lines, such as architectural photography or a single-line drawing, sits well beside it. Avoid another dense abstract on the same wall: the lattice already runs edge to edge and needs plain wall around it to read clearly.

Is AA#149 a print or an original painting?

An original. AA#149 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of AA#149 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
