About this painting

Fine gold lines drop like threads down the centre of a pale canvas and gather where a teal block meets a near-black brown base, the junction marked by a short, bright seam of gold. To the left, a cloudy grey slab fills most of the height above a soft blush-pink strip; to the right, the teal is streaked with thin downward drips.

The paint is matte and dry-brushed, with ragged edges where each block fades into the off-white ground. A few gold veins also cross the dark base like mended cracks, so the warm colour runs through the coolest part of the picture.

WA#162 is an original wabi-sabi geometric painting showing weathered colour field of grey, teal, dark brown and pale pink with gold lines, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Its pale upper half lets it sit on a light wall without a heavy block of colour at eye level, while the dark base gives weight above a console or bench. In a guest room it suits teal velvet, smoked glass and brass lamps. Keep the lighting even rather than dramatic: the gold lines are thin and glint best under a soft, broad wash.

Specified for corridor & circulation, guest room & suite, entryway & hallway and living room; it reads as peaceful and moody.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for WA#162 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Flat brushwork takes less paint and time than impasto or relief work of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on WA#162 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Is the gold in WA#162 raised or flat?

Flat. The lines are painted thin and straight with no build-up, so they catch light as a glint rather than casting shadow. That keeps the piece calm: the shine shifts as you walk past, but the canvas still reads as a smooth colour field.

What does the blush-pink band at the lower left of WA#162 do for a colour scheme?

More than its size suggests. It is the only warm pastel, and it softens the jump from grey to near-black. Pick it up once, in a dusty-rose throw or pink-veined marble, and the teal and gold read warmer as a result.

Is WA#162 a print or an original painting?

An original. WA#162 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of WA#162 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
