About this painting

A spray of white roses tumbles from the top of the canvas, the blooms packed together at the upper edge and their sage-green leaves streaking downward.

The roses are sculpted in thick, cupped ridges of white paint, with a touch of ochre at some centres and pale gray shadow between petals giving them form. Lower down the bouquet loosens into long blade-like leaf strokes, gold-brown flecks and soft gray-green washes, until the off-white ground takes over. It is almost entirely white on white, so relief and shadow, more than colour, describe each flower.

TA#153 is an original textured floral painting showing bouquet of white sculpted roses with sage green leaves on white, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a sculpted relief surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

With sage the only real colour, it belongs in rooms dressed in soft whites, pale timber and eucalyptus or olive textiles, such as a suite's sitting area or a living room with chalky white sofas. On bright white paint it can almost vanish, so set it on a slightly deeper greige or warm gray plaster to show its outline. Gentle, even light suits it; a hard spotlight exaggerates the white ridges into sharp black shadows.

Specified for entryway & hallway, corridor & circulation, guest room & suite and living room; it reads as romantic and peaceful.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#153 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Sculpted relief is built up in layers with drying time between them, so it costs more than a flat painting of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#153 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

With so little colour, what gives the roses in TA#153 their shape?

Mainly the relief. Each rose is built up in curled ridges of paint, and the small shadows between them, helped by thin gray and ochre touches at the centres, model the flowers. In soft light they look pale and dreamy; under a spotlight they become much more three-dimensional.

Do the white roses in TA#153 carry a particular meaning?

White roses are often read as purity, new beginnings and remembrance, which is why they appear so often at weddings. That makes it a natural choice for a bridal suite or a wedding venue's lounge, though it works just as well simply as a calm white floral.

Is TA#153 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#153 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#153 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
