About this painting

A thick ivory form, layered in horizontal ridges like stacked rock strata, cuts down the canvas between a matte black field on the left and a deep navy one on the right. Near the top the white mass is broad and blocky; halfway down it pinches inward under an overhanging ledge, then widens again to the bottom edge.

The navy side is combed with fine vertical threads that catch light as pale lines, while the black side has a rougher, bark-like streak. With only three colours, everything rests on surface: the white stands highest, the dark fields sit lower, and a sliver of shadow opens at the ledge.

TA#623 is an original textured painting showing thick white ridged plaster form between black and navy textured fields, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a sculpted relief surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

High contrast keeps it legible across the length of a lobby: hang it opposite the entrance or behind a front desk faced in dark wood. Navy and black sit well with walnut, smoked glass, blackened brass and grey marble. The ivory ridges stand out best against a mid-grey or warm white wall rather than pure white, and a tight spotlight angled down the face of the canvas makes each ridge cast a thin shadow.

Specified for meeting & boardroom, lobby & reception, home office and living room; it reads as dramatic and moody.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#623 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Sculpted relief is built up in layers with drying time between them, so it costs more than a flat painting of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#623 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Does TA#623 show a canyon or a river?

Either reading works, and the painting does not settle it. Seen as an aerial view, the white is water cutting between dark banks; seen straight on, the stepped ridges look like a sheer cliff face. In a boardroom that openness is useful, suggesting a way through without spelling it out.

Is the navy in TA#623 close to black?

In dim light it can be, but in normal daylight it reads as a clear midnight blue, especially where the combed lines catch light. It sits beside the black field as a separate colour rather than a shade of it, so navy upholstery or a blue rug will pick it up.

Is TA#623 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#623 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#623 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
