About this painting

Coral pink and slate blue meet along a jagged diagonal, the warm colour filling the upper right and the cool one breaking in beneath it like surf. Where they touch, the knife has thrown up white crests and a few sharp flecks of near-black, like foam catching on rock. The coral is smoother, pulled in long sweeping drags; the blue half is busier, with white swirled through it and thin runs of paint falling at the lower left.

There is no horizon, yet the picture still suggests weather or water: a warm sky pushing against a cold sea.

AA#166 is an original abstract painting showing soft blue, white and peach knife strokes in a cloud-like sweep, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

The coral warms a bedroom or guest suite that gets cool, indirect light, while the blue keeps the canvas restful enough to face a bed. Beside a staircase, as shown, it rewards being seen at an angle as people climb, because the diagonal follows the direction of travel. Put it against putty, oatmeal or pale clay walls; a cold brilliant white makes the coral look sugary.

Specified for guest room & suite, corridor & circulation, bedroom and living room; it reads as uplifting and peaceful.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for AA#166 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on AA#166 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What do the dark flecks along the seam in AA#166 contribute?

They give a soft palette an edge. Without the few near-black marks at the top of the seam, on the right edge and at the lower left, coral and pale blue could look sweet; the dark accents make it read as weather and link it to black metal such as a stair rail.

Could AA#166 be painted with a paler peach instead of coral?

Yes. The coral here is saturated, close to salmon, and among pale timber it can dominate; a peach or blush version keeps the same slate blue and white surf below and shifts the mood from lively to quiet. Progress photos let you approve the shade before the painting moves on.

Is AA#166 a print or an original painting?

An original. AA#166 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of AA#166 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
