About this painting

One dark teal band crosses the upper third of a white canvas, and from its lower edge the colour bleeds downward in drips and dragged streaks that fade out long before the bottom.

Above the band, a strip of pale grey ground holds a few small black marks, like posts on a far shore. The band itself is scored with fine scratched lines that cut back to the pale layer, so the teal looks worn rather than solid. The lower half is nearly empty, scraped white with faint grey traces, which gives the falling drips room to breathe.

MA#260 is an original minimalist painting showing single dark teal band with scratched texture and drips on a white field, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

All the weight sits in the top third, so set it lower on the wall than you normally would: the teal band should land near eye level, with the pale lower half running down toward a low console or bare floor. It pairs with slate or charcoal paint, concrete, blackened steel and bleached oak, and gives a long white boardroom table something dark to answer. Cool daylight keeps the teal crisp; a strongly yellow lamp turns the white field creamy and softens the contrast.

Specified for corridor & circulation, entryway & hallway, meeting & boardroom and workspace & office; it reads as calming and moody.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for MA#260 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Flat brushwork takes less paint and time than impasto or relief work of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on MA#260 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What are the scratched lines running through the teal band of MA#260?

Fine lines scratched through the teal so the paler paint underneath shows. They break the band into a weathered, uneven surface, which is why the canvas sits as comfortably in a wabi-sabi interior of plaster and raw timber as it does in a plain modern office.

Is MA#260 meant to be a landscape or a pure abstract?

A pure abstract, though it leaves the door open. The few dark upright marks above the band and the drips beneath it can suggest a distant shoreline and its reflection, and some people see a winter lake. Others simply see one band of colour on white.

Is MA#260 a print or an original painting?

An original. MA#260 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of MA#260 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
