About this painting

Thousands of short knife strokes in cobalt, ultramarine, teal and turquoise pack the canvas edge to edge, like a coral reef seen from above. Through the blue run sharp flashes of magenta and raspberry, a few violet patches, and a sprinkling of white and lemon-yellow dots that sit on top of everything like scattered petals.

The paint is built in thick, overlapping layers, each stroke leaving a raised edge, so the surface breaks into hundreds of small facets. There is no single centre: the pinks gather loosely across the middle and lower right, while the top is slightly lighter, where lilac-blue shows through.

AA#631 is an original abstract painting showing dense blue, teal, purple and pink knife strokes with scattered white and yellow dots, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

With deep saturated blue covering almost the whole surface, it needs breathing room from other strong colour. A plain white or warm grey hallway wall closing a long view works well, as does a gallery partition where visitors stop close enough to see the layering. Cream boucle, pale oak and raw stone soften its density, while dark slatted panelling makes it moodier. Light it evenly, because the darkest blues sink in a dim corner.

Specified for gallery & retail, lobby & reception, entryway & hallway and living room; it reads as dramatic and bold.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for AA#631 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on AA#631 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What do the small yellow and white dots add to AA#631?

They are the lightest notes in a very dark painting. Dabbed onto the finished blue layers, they act as scattered highlights and keep the eye moving across the canvas. Without them the surface would read as one heavy blue mass; with them it sparkles slightly even from a distance.

What should hang near AA#631 if it shares a wall with other art?

Something quieter. Its density and saturation will overpower another busy abstract, so pair it with a pale, open composition in white, sand or soft teal, or with black-and-white photography. A light painting hung at the same centre line lets the blue canvas carry the wall without the two competing.

Is AA#631 a print or an original painting?

An original. AA#631 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of AA#631 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
